That's right... there are awesome cabins in the U.P.! We are thrilled to share about our time staying here at the "Cabins by the Course!" Since staying here we have been slammed with questions on this awesome place. Rightfully so. The style factor is on point!
It's located in Houghton, MI. This is about an hour from Porcupine Mountains State Park, an hour from Copper Harbor (where you can board a boat to Isle Royale National Park), and about 2.5 hours from Pictured Rocks Lakeshore. So central to some of the most amazing Upper Peninsula spots! From the name itself, you guessed it, it's right on a golf course. Fun to watch or even book a golf outing!
We had the best communication with the owner of these cabins, JoLynn. She gave clear directions and was so helpful with anything we needed. When we arrived everything was clean and better than expected!
If you saw my instagram stories you already know, my girls LOVED this cabin. She had toys for the kids and their own playroom! I also noticed a pack'n'play in there and extra blankets. This is so nice to have when your little ones are young. The girls learned the best of skills: Lincoln Logs with dad! J and I could relax together and the girls played quietly in their room. We always value these precious times together, and the cabin was a perfect place to unwind, kick your shoes off and relax.
The cabin is not just cute, it is stocked with all of your needs. The kitchens are stocked with all the cooking essentials. She even left us with fresh coffee beans (yes, coffee always tastes better in the cabin, but this is even more true when it is fresh ground coffee!). In the evening we found wood by our firepit to make smores. And if you're not as into the outdoorsy stuff, the wifi is strong and Netflix / Hulu are available. This is a rarity in the U.P. :)
