Let's chat about Air BNB's! So you have probably at least heard the name but not understand how it all works. The best way to explain it is actually how it began -
"Airbnb started in 2007 when Joe Gebbia and Brian Chesky, then both 27, who had met five years earlier at Rhode Island School of Design, were struggling to pay their rent. ... The idea of creating a website based on renting something that was already in existence was perfect. The name "Airbnb" started because of Joe & Brian's air matress that people could stay on."
While these two are brilliant I'm not sure if I would have been the person to first stay there :) Air BNB is possibly a bed, an extra room or an entire home where you can stay at a discounted price! Pretty brilliant. We hope to one day have one at our home but until then - we will enjoy others!
Practical tips how to use Air BNB:
1. Set up a profile about yourself. A lot of people will not 2. Find the location you are looking to go & dates. 3. While looking at a location you are interested in READ THE REVIEWS! This will help you know the quality of the place and the personality's of those renting it out to you.
4. Be sure and read the descriptions. Although there are many pictures many times the place may not be as it seems. 5. Many places are not kid friendly but once you request the place you can leave a comment asking them about this policy. Many times this is just because they don't have bedding/pack-n-plays/etc. If your kids are adaptable to staying in new places you can explain this and many Air BNB's will be ok accepting your request.
Now get to it & book that unique place you've always wanted to stay!
