Holland, MI is been our families home town... I could probably drive around with a blindfold at this point :) But that doesn't mean that it's rated the 2nd best vacation town in Michigan (Mackinac Island being 1st).

Lets dig right in!
Holland, MI is known for the Tulip Time festivities & Beaches...
There are many side 'privet' beaches you can find but the two main beaches are:

Holland State Park: This park has camping options close to the beach (not right on the beach). The beach is very clean but very busy. There is a beautiful red lighthouse that is very famous for pictures. See the history on this "Big Red Lighthouse" Here. There is a place with restrooms, shelter and best ever Ice cream! Ottawa Beach General Store - If you go up the street a bit you'll find this cutest little Ice cream shop!
Dune Dogz Treats - this is a few more steps up and you'll find some delicious american food options and Ice cream! Fun atmosphere too:)

Tunnel Park: This beach is beautiful. Very high water right now so the beach is more crowded than normal. There is a nice parking places that cost $. or for a short walk you can park outside the park for free. Bathrooms when you walk up and sometimes there is an ice cream truck :). There is a beautiful big park area for the kids and a huge dune to climb if you are feeling sassy! Such a beautiful view from the top.
