There is a lot of great camping gear out there but this is some help on things we've personally used.
Core 9 person tent: While this is a very large tent, we've found it was really nice for us. We prefer to have a area to change & sleep within the tent. Why this is important to us is we camp in a lot of very sandy places and the sand gets everywhere as you change. So not changing on top of where you are sleeping is a very nice convenience! When the girls were babies we also liked room to put up their pack'n'play for much better sleep for them.
Pro's:
*Well priced
*Easy to put up
*Kept us dry on rainy evenings
*Bright & stylish
*Very easy to clean
Con's:
*Large- not a great back-packing tent, need a pretty big area to set up.
Tepee Tent (from Wenzel): We had such a great time in this 5 person tent. You'll get so many compliments on it's interesting style. We loved taking this out a few times camping with the girls and they felt like it was their on little 'fort'.
Pro's:
*Well priced
*Extremely easy to put up
*So Stylish & fun
Con's:
*While this isn't a issue many, for us having the pole in the middle wasn't great. Our girls like to sleep close to us so kinda divided us.
*No rain cover available to go with it.
Swift 2 pink pop up tent: This would be a GREAT back packing tent. Folds up very small and pops up like the easiest thing ever. So cool lookin' and handles well in rain!
Pro's:
*Easiest tent ever to put up
*Extremely well priced
*Stylish
*Plenty of room for two people
Con's:
*Putting it down takes a youtube video to figure out!
LightSpeed Sun Shelter: Oh this tent is my favorite! HIGHLY recommend. It is perfect if you like to spend a lot of time by the beach. A great place to get out of the sun and still enjoy the relaxing ways of the beach.
Pro's:
*Extremely easy to put down and up!
*So helpful in the harsh sun
*So stylish
*Reasonably Priced
Con's:
None!
