Let's get into the info on our amazing RTT!
We decided on this model for a few reasons. The main reason was space for 4 with our car also being able to carry the weight. Here is a list of other reasons we love this model:
Easy setup/takedown - this was the biggest thing for me! I wanted to be sure I could set it up and go camping with just me and the girls. I've been on a just girls camping trip and it was amazing! Putting it away or taking it out takes 1 person about 5 min and with 2 people about
Insulation - being in Michigan, the weather is always unpredictable. It could be may and be snowing one min and sunny the next. We needed something that is versatile ready to camp in no matter the weather. This was just the thing for us. The Free Spirit tents have an insulated liner that got us through a 40-degree night like nothing. We were warm and cozy! The next night rained all night and we woke up completely dry. The next weekend was hot and stuffy. We opened up the windows and had the perfect amount of breeze to sleep through the night. This tent has it all and is ready for any weather situation.
Sleeping - The 63" was just the right size for our family of four (two adults and two small girls). We are close sleepers so it works out. It's about the size of a queen in width and length-wise much longer. Before getting our tent we measurage with a tape measure and string and all tried laying in it on the floor. Showed us how cozy we would be and that way we knew it would work for us. The best inside is plenty comfortable for us (we do like firm mattresses).
Shoe Storage - ok before you just pass by this part and not think it's a big deal, it IS A HUGE DEAL! We are so thankful they designed pockets to clip on right outside of the tent. This is perfect especially if you are camping in a place where it's primarily dirt or sand. You'll be so thankful for these bad boys that you can get the stink out of the tent for a peaceful night of rest :)
LED Lights - bring along a portable charger and plug it into the led lights that are a part of the tent!
