Quick Tips for Camping with Infants & Toddlers:

Blog & more details:

When we first got married we were not as into camping (although we loved it on occasion)... We decided to do the crazy (at the time no one was doing it) and live in a camper! This was easily one of the best adventures ever. Once were going to have a baby we wanted to figure out the best way to keep up this lifestyle of travel and camping and bring our children along... Whether you are a seasoned camper with kids & just want some extra tips... or if you are just starting out camping with kiddo these tips & tricks are for you!
Let's get started!

Gear:
Luggage/Bags: This is pending your type of camping but for tents, we love soft bags that we can squish in wherever we have room (our favorite is Walker Family Good here). If you are going on a trip and then campervan/etc. we suggest bringing along a rolling bag (iFly) that they can help with and also a backpack (Walker Family Goods)

Clothing:
Sing it from the rooftops REIMA is your number one pick for all things clothing-related for kids. They are comfy, stylish, but most of all protective! Check them out HERE.

Highchair /Chairs: This is a must when camping with kids! You have the table for food or fun things to play with, a cover from the sun, and straps for safety! Be sure and check out our favorite from "Go with Me" here.

Portable Bungalo The girls love this. They read/play and hang out in this. Be sure and check it out HERE.
Free Standing Gate/Play area:
These a great things to have for the kids to play while you sit by the fire or set up camp! So many benefits to this and it fold right up for easy travel. Check out our favorite from "Go with Me" here.

Sleeping:
PRO TIP for infant- toddler sleeping: We love to use a "Nest" we call it. Any We love this as it travels easily and the baby can sleep anywhere! We use this in tents, RTT, Ground tents, campers, hotels, Airbnb... ok you get the picture :) this thing works anywhere! It separates the baby/toddler from you for safety but gives them a soft place to sleep. Here are a few of our favorites:

Tent Sleeping: We use Wenzel air mattresses.

Rooftop Tent Sleeping: Easiest setup! Bring your favorite sleeping bag, pillow & blanket for kids/toddlers. Check above for what we use for infant - toddler.

Campervan Sleeping: We like to ask for a few extra pillows and blankets when we are picking up our van. This way we can make what we call a 'snuggle' when you can bring the above snuggle sleeper. Our kids also have their favorite blanky/stuffy from home, which helps!

Extra Tips:
*Food: Make it easy on yourself. Don't plan extravagant meals for the kids and don't make them eat the same meal as you (unless of course, they like it). If they are anything like ours, they aren't interested in eating anything (besides maybe s'mores) and wanting to play with their friends they just made a few campsites down:) Make it easily acceptable so they can eat and be on the go. This will help you and your kids.
